The Latest from the BlogWelcomeMay 9 2011, 12:01 am Hi, everyone! Welcome to my new and fabulous web site (by the immaculate Liz Bemis of Bemis Promotions…)! I’m now to the blogging world, but I’m game for just about anything. I’m a talker, and love to debate and dig deep to the underbelly of the world, so each week I’ll set up a new discussion based on the high points in my life and the lives I lead both inside and outside of my writing career. There are however, boundaries. I will not release any personal information about anyone, but I will be happy to participate in conversations about nursing, labor and delivery, veterinary related things, animals, and answer any questions anyone may have in order to make their own writing more factual and believable. For example, I’m a labor and delivery nurse, as well as a team leader on my unit. This is rarely boring and mostly an adrenaline lover’s dream. I also have a degree in veterinary technology, and have worked with just about every kind of animal you can think of. I’ve worked at the Cincinnati Zoo and all types of veterinary hospitals, from mice, rats, cats, and dogs to fish to exotics. I am also an avid bird watcher and advocate for animals, and I love to garden and make jams and jellies. I write across the board, but have found a comfy spot in the world of shapeshifters. Werewolves are my beast of choice, but big cats and other furry critters are also very high on my list. I’m actually considering developing a workshop on making your shapeshifters more believable. I would love to hear what you have to say about the paranormal genre and hear your amazing ideas! |
